Ex-Shores Coach Runs Away With Top
Honors
The inaugural North Muskegon Block 58 Triathlon was a smashing
success for former local athletes.
Tom Trout made the biggest splash.
The Mona Shores track and cross country coach from 1996-2000 lives in Grandville

Going the Distance
Greg Bowman won the first YMCA Camp Pendalouan triathlon/duathlon
held Aug. 27 in impressive time, swimming, biking and running in 1:40:05.
Bowman, originally of Muskegon, now lives in Holland. It was his first
triathlon and he said the event was a great way to use the resources located in

second annual “Run for Fun, Fitness and Foundation"
The Spring Lake Schools
Foundation will be hosting its second annual “Run for Fun, Fitness and
Foundation” on Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 8:30 am. The 5K course begins at the
Spring Lake Middle-Intermediate School, winds through the streets of the Village
of Spring Lake, and ends at Grabinski Football Field. This 5k race is being held
during the annual Spring Lake Heritage Festival. Gold sponsors for this year’s
event include David Bos Homes, McKeough Land Company, and Shape Corporation.
Additional support has been received from other community businesses and

New Off Road
Triathlon/Duathlon Coming this Summer to Muskegon County
(Muskegon, MI) Endurance Sports partnered with Muskegon
Y.M.C.A. and Camp Pendalouan will be hosting an Off Road Triathlon/Duathlon
located at Camp Pendalouan. August 27th at 9:00am swimmers will start
swimming a half-mile loop in Blue Lake with the duathletes starting a 5K run.
Both triathletes and duathletes will then proceed to the staging area to start
the mountain bike portion. Ending with both triathletes and duathletes
